An atmosphere was made to build up in which certain Muslim organizations were actually encouraged to find fault in the movie and these organizations latched on that opportunity to create focus on them and get their five minutes of fame. In such a situation the reaction of the TN govt should have been firm that and unequically told them then if there was anything objectionable in the movie then it wouldn't have been passed by three censor boards. The CM of Tamil Nadu might be feeling, her vote bank not good enough to see her through convincingly in 2014 and need some extra votes . The fundamentalists are expected to bring in some votes which may decisively tilt the matter in their favor. But her problem is, she is in friendship wit BJP who are in favor work of the film but not some of her allies are sympathetic to the film. If you put up a selfish, opportunistic rainbow coalition , such things are bound to happen.
