Harimander Sahib is the most famous Sikh Temple or Gurdwara. It is also called the Golden Temple in English because of the gold plating that covers most of its surface.

When it was sarted....Hindu's & Sikhs were same in thoughts & from same families together, not much different like now.The best example is most of the Sikh GURU's mothers were from Hindu family....so there was no difference at all .They used to say as Hari Mandir...then it became HARMANDER ,now Harmnder Sahib Gurudwara.
