The damage to the roads are causing severe damage, and endanger human life and remain unattended due to heavy rains that does not stop reeling in natures fury that can be set right only my military and not by common man.

As such we have organisation called "Border Road Organisation" (BRO) who are specialised in construction of roads and bridges in any kind of adverse conditions. They have constructed more than 30 thousand km of roads and ten km plus bridges and operating across country in almost all states including worst terrain like NE sector, J&K and Kutch region.
These guys hv best of the construction companies parallel to L&T like CPWBD, BRO, MEG, etc. but if they are employed, politicians would loose Grass. You can have a look in to some of the Engg. and construction standards developed by these organisation especially CPWD, which are available in public domain. Even if our PWD and NHAI just follow those standards properly, we would have excellent road networks.
