Fact no. one: The syllabus of most courses is so topsy turvy that the companies know that any new inductee will have to start from scratch. Most of the jobs on offer do not have anything to do with the stream of study.
fact no.2 : as stated by an esteemed member in response to another question in this forum, the youth are not particularly inclined to be loyal to the company, most always consider the first company as a launching pad. so if the company thinks that perhaps the uncle niece relationship might help them to retain the inductee for a lil more time, they cannot be blamed.
fact no 3. :most companies in the private sector do not opt for open recruitment - references are the key.

Itz o.k when market has enough space to feed all. Itz not like a govt. job. At the end of the day, no pvt. employer will keep feeding someone who is not fit for the job. In such case the one with just recommendation would take a back seat and the talent prevails. But the case is not same with Govt. jobs and backdoor entry thro' recommendations, reservations, etc. there should be rooted-out.
