It is very surprising. After having captured power in Karnataka Yedyurappa lost his good will due to his nefarious business deals. Despite being indicted and chargesheeted by Police Yedyurappa was relentlessless in his endevours to become CM again. He has the support of the powerful Lingaayat community, but BJP by dragging its feet in not dismissing him was perceived as supporter of corruption. It also lost the assembly elections mainly due to this reason and secondly due to division of its votes by Yedyurappa's party.
But as they say there are no permanent friends or enemies in politics and morals take a back seat, Modi being close to Yedyurappa may try to bring him back. However in my opinion it will be another wrong decision
