In karnataka , sarri is tied it is called as kacche -hingacche, mungacche. it needs 9 yards of length of sarry- a big one.
normal sarry with frills in front.
then coorgies-kodagu state ladies wear a sari.of their own style..
maharastrain type of sarri.
gujrathis wear one type..
sarries are woven using cotton yarn, jute, silk . silk-cotton,
Karnatka Tamilnadu sarries are famous for Mysore silk Kanjeevaram sadi.
Maheshwari silk, cotton sadi.
sambhalpur sari,kolkatta saari,kerala sadi or mundu is famous for cot
ton , Poona sari..Ilkal sarri ..like this there are sarries woven in different parts of karnataka, maharastra orissa, tamilnadu. rajasthani-bandhini type-tie&die sarry
