Its due to obvious reasons that Kapil Dev was totally against the IPL which has turned out to be the golden egg yielding one for BCCI so they took the revenge although its quite shameful one for the BCCI to do that. Kiran More has been a selector & is in good terms with the board so no issues for his due money. The strangest part though is soon after kapil emerged out as a supporter for IPL which is really hurting to watch!!

The answer is very simple Kapil Bhai revolted against BCCI and started ICL against IPL. this defiance has
cost him a lot in terms of financial terms and also he is a persona non grata ( amongst his close associates
like mohinder amarnath ) for BCCI

BCCI is vexed against Kapildev. Kapil is an all time legend and all Awards and Trophies must be named after him. He visualized league matches in T-20 and created ICL, which was cheaply copied by BCCI and are making huge money by hoodwinking the public. Kapil is above all this controversy and he wants to keep away. His only goal is that all young talents must get good opportunity and India must shape up as the best team in the world.

BCCI is belittling itself by being so biased against those who oppose it and rewards who toes its line.

Kapil is not the only one to have been denied this so called largesse. Kirti Azad, G. R. Vishwanath (gosh ........ how can one forget his services), Mohd. Azharuddin and some more.

What is Kapil's mistake - if you can call it that. He conceived the T20 format for Zee Network by involving ex-test stars and some of the bright local prospects, who would never have got a chance to play at the top level. Apparently Zee & Kapil wanted to go alone, without involving BCCI ( read ..... its share of money). How can a big boss like BCCI be sidelined ?

Thus born the IPL. With its financial might, BCCI decimated the ICL - even before it started blossoming. Kapil - being the outspoken man that he is and the Chief Architect of ICL became an untouchable.

I am glad that there are some people who do not hesitate to speak against the whims and fancies of the BCCI - even at the cost ...more
