When husband and children go outside, they often pray to god for their welfare outside.
Their this attitude of concern for their loved ones makes them have more faith in god and turn them to be more religious than men.

Women follow religious rites honestly which only fewer men do. It is because of mens relatively wider exposure to the world at large compared to women. As, family and home are parts of a man's life they a proportionally less concern for such rites. Whereas, women with narrower world and lesser education (an empirical generalization), get scared for every minute details of family , home and religion. The older women thrust upon the responsibility of carrying on the show on younger women. The patriarchal set up of our society adds to that.
