Jealousy is an inborn trait in all the living beings including humans. Some are less jealous, some are more.

The very jealousy is the survival point of the man kind. Because of jealousy, we strive hard to excel the other. If all are dormant without the quality of jealousy, other living beings would have taken control of this world long back!

Some people have better things or better relationships, etc. than others. It's natural for us to desire what we don't have, but want. That's why we get jealous.
