Every decade has its share of good and bad movies. Things have improved much as regards the technical aspects but you can never forget those classics made in the past just as you vcan easily forget some movies churned out today. But there are a some excellent movies made today and a few newcomers are talented. The Hindi film industry or Bollywood as it is affectionately called has been both mature and immature right from the early days.

Yes there are movies like Mumbai meri jaan, etc, which tells us we've improved quite a lot. but if you see the indian film industry as a whole-bollywood,tollywood,kollywood,mollywood n all other 'woods', most of the movies are a mere adaptation of the hollywood hits. bengali n malayalam movies which were/are termed to its subtleness n originality. even kollywood has brought up many good movies like, veyil, kalloori, paruthiveeran etc etc which shine well in the international film festivals.......dont judge the indian film industry just by taking bollywood.

Hi Gaurav, The Indian Movie industry has definitely matured and improved a lot. From Black-White to Color.....Color to Digital and Now Graphics and 3D. With movies getting nominated to OSCARS more frequently. Truly a positive sign for industry which was only known for entertainment and money making but not for the talent and art. Regards,
