Kahlil Gibran says "Love is letting go of fear" and I find that statement to be more true every day. In one sense love can be considered the state of peace and natural order when all things are at rest. The default state of the human mind when it is not interfering with the process of loving. Love is a letting go of all judgment, guilt, and ego. It is total commitment to, and acceptance of that which we love. Have you ever experienced true unconditional love? I think few of us have as children and I think unless you have had that perfect love from your parents and learned it from an early age, and not had it betrayed, it may be impossible to learn it. When parental love is betrayed, the child will forever have that underlying doubt that prevents her from trusting in love ever again. She will always seek out the flaw and that mistrust or doubt, no matter how small, will be that fatal flaw.
