It will be strategically advantageous only to Karunanidhi to support Congress. Jaya has proved that she can win the votes without the support of Congress, BJP, JD(S) or any other national party. She has just swept to power with the support of few regional parties. Only the corruption filled DMK will seek the shelter of another equally corruption plagued national party for survival.

For Jaya it is advantageous now as she can get the required funds for TN Development and completing her election promises
For Karuna it will be fish out of water situation
