What is the story behind govardhan parvat and shree krishna?

It was the mountain picked up by shree krishna tosave peoples when there was exceding rain and floods in his village! It was due to curse of indra dev becoz the villagers worshipped govardhan parvat instead of indra dev!

Yup I second with Sonam .When there was no safe place to hide from rain and storm then Krishna jee picked up the whole mountain and the whole village got a safe place
