As per the Noble commitee guidelines the peace prize is awarded only to living mortals. Also Gandhis name had figured thrice in the list of awardees. However Norway did not seek to anatgonize Britain and the British empire and therefore choose to give the prize to others. The Noble commitee have always maintained that there can be no true recipient of the pace prize then Gandhi himselg. Thats is the benovelence and strength of Gandhi whoes message of peace and non-violence shackled and defeated even the Nobel peace prize awardees. Let us try and discover the Gandhi in our souls and live and cherish the peace prize that Gandhi so deserved and was denied always.

He doesn't need a Noble prize ... he is above all prizes... It would have been an honor for Noble Prize to get its name associated with Mahatma Gandhiji.

According to Noble prize committee report, He did not find anything othere than making awarness to the people to get freedom for one country. Individual activity is less. This is unfortunate.
