The detection of ghee with vanaspati be detect by using following tow tests. Furfural test , Baudouin test.

It is not that difficult .
If you are habitual with desi ghee taste ...It is an important ingredient of your daily meal . You can identify the difference by taste , colous , flavour ,consistency .

Take 5ml of molten ghee in a test tube. Add equal quantity of concentrated hydrochloric acid and stir it with a glass rod After 5minutes if red colour appears then the ghee is adultrated with vanaspati.......

Pure ghee is always remain melt . ...never hard even if in winter / or kept in fridge ..while . Vanaspati smells different and becomes hard ......
