Both can sing too melodiously as voice or singing has no gender bias when it cms to excellency....and if at al thr was any comparison music world have never got to see such a gems such as md.rafi, lata mangeshkarji,elvis presley, linda ronstadt and such endless names............:-)

Males because they have much higher scale ........you can compare in any of the popular duet songs ....specially in sufi songs

listen the songs of Mukesh, Talath, Hemanth, & Md.Rafi
listen the songs of Latha Mangeshkar, Shamshad Begum, surayya, Geeta Dutt

Both males and females sing well. Imagine and recollect the sweetness and melody of combined voices of Mohammed Rafi and Lata Mangeshkar.
