It is reported that Dimple Kapadia was married to Rajesh Khanna, five months prior to the release of her first film Bobby in 1973. She then took a sabbatical from movies to raise her children Twinkle Khanna and Rinke Khanna. She came back to acting in the year 1984, following divorce to Rajesh Khanna. She reportedly had an affair with Sunny Deol, but they gradually parted ways with time. She is now grandmother to Twinkle Khannas son Aarav.
