Simply encourage them to be who they are and stoke their confidence, by affirmng some of their actions and not nit-picking on every issue.

We have to set ourselves as their role-models. let's first accept our limitations and try to show the same attitude in our behaviour. they will understand unconsciously and follows us over a long time.
