Vidura was half-brother to the kings Dhritarashtra and Pandu of Hastinapura, born the son of the sage Vyasa and a lady-in-waiting to the queens Ambika and Ambalika of the city. Vidura was a person with great wisdom and foresight.His teachings in the mahabharatha are called Vidura neethi.It is in the Upayoga parva in the great Mahabharatha.vidura neethi gives advices about various topics that is valid till date.It is very useful when it comes to identify people,in relationships,attain victory and attain Moksha!!

Vidura was half-brother to Dhritarashtra and Pandu. He was the son of a maid-servant who served the queens of Hastinapura in the great Indian epic, the Mahabharata, namely Ambika and Ambalika.
Vidura Niti
Vaisampayana said: Kind Dhritarashtra endued with great wisdom (then) said to the orderly in waiting, I desire to see Vidura. Bring him here without delay.
Despatched by Dhritarashtra, the messenger went to Kshatri and said: O (thou) of great wisdom, our lord the mighty king desires to see you.
Thus addressed, Vidura (set out and) coming to the palace, spoke unto the orderly: Apprise Dhritarashtra of my arrival.

Half brother of king dhritarashtra and pandu of Hastinapur - his wisdom was par excellent and that is why expert decisions are also called vidhur neethi
