One Marathi movie I saw on DVD recently was 'Pinjra', starring Shreeram Laagoo. He was brilliant and the movie was good. Any such good Marathi movies?

You are right...Pinjra is just great. I have watched 5 times. There are many marathi movies that are worth watching like tamdi mati, sadhi manasa, pudhace paul, Nivdung, aradhangini....Samna is a masterpeice. This movie gives an opportunity to watch one of the greatest duels of the contemporary great Marathi actors Dr. Shriram Lagoo and Nilu Phule. Brilliant screenplay (Vijay Tendulkar), superb direction (Jabbar Patel) and performances that can never be forgotten (Lagoo and Phule).
