Toronto: After desperate attempts by the Unforgettable Tour guys to paint what was a flop show as a superhit (a trick often employed in Mumbai with new releases), they seem to have come around to the realization that it was indeed a flop show. Having been able to sell less than a third of the available tickets at the Rogers Centre, there was no question in those present at the venue that the Bachchan magic was on the wane, and largely helped by unrealistic ticket prices and the less than capable promotion provided by the local organizers.
Mumbai-based Wizcraft International Entertainment, the organisers of the tour, parted company with the Canadian promoters, Ethnic Guru, saying that the latter had failed to meet contractual commitments, a statement released by them in India said.
According to an IANS dispatch, the organisers have also notified Ethnic Guru to refund the money of the sponsors ...more

A lotus is a lotus, regardless of any negativity present around it.
Like a lotus, this tour is a glimmering magic enshrouded in mystery: those who have witnessed are still enthralled by its magic. Those who have not shake in disbelief and doubt. To each his is own.. but the truth is the truth- and the Unforgettable Show stands like a magical lotus.
Who are the people saying the tour is a flop? To call this tour as a flop is like calling the earth square.. it is a true farce. Were they present?
I cannot speak for the Canada and the Europe section of the tours, in terms of ticket sales. However, I am aware that most world tours have cancellations, et all, in cities.. but are considered super-successful still. Reading from reports, Toronto and London were hugely enjoyed!
I do know the U.S. ones were a smashing smashing smashing success!
I attended the New Jersey (Atlantic City) and NYC (Long Island) one. I tried many times on ticketmaster to get extra tickets-- nev ...more
