Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda abrupt resignation was because of the turmoil his govt was undergoing since the time he took office. It was rocked by scandals and mishandling of situations. So, he has quit in the hope that a new leader that takes over is better able to take care of the ongoing crisis.
