Having English as a core language ensures that R&D / interpretations on Indian culture etc., are from Western analyses. Even if an Indian were to write articles on the same in English, it will still be referred to the Western sources.
Losing 4000 years of indegenous sciences & arts to something completely foreign is worse then wiping one's rear after using the latrine w/ 500 Rupee notes daily for 100 yrs, for 5 generations.
And many times, Western & Indian traditional scientific R&D clashes. For example, the medicinal texts of our ancients refer to certain flora & fauna as medicine / curatives whereas Western R&D refer to the same as "dangerous substances." Such knowledge & access to scientific study produced by our beloved motherland is lost if we abandon Hindi and continue using ENglish. ...more
