I being the old timer, i always prefer the golden era of the music where music ruled. that means Naushad , Madan Mohan and Shankar Jaikishan who ruled and entertained every one with their great music. hence i consider those person as my fav. composers.

I think late rd burman was way ahead of his time's. eg dum maro dum song in hare rama hare krishna was surely year's ahead of its times.
selecting fav becomes quite difficult,since there are so many on the same level. now a days ar rehman music is too good.
