Dear Vilas jee, according to Hindu mythology it is Goddess Saraswati .But if you wish to see her ,you can. today also I ahve seen her . She is none other than LATA Mangeshkar. you know today she sang a sloka in pune on MAHA day , what a balance till now!! its divine . purely divine . We are blessed to witness devi before us. I dont want to say technical thngs but yet musically trained person can understand what is D- scale and how much practice require to sing on D shruti. I am amazed to hear the way she was reaching higher notes though it may be N or S but not easy to stand on thise frequency at this age . Mera Pranam is sangeet ki devi ko.

According to Hindu Mythology, it is Goodess Saraswathi. We human could not see her, but we felt her presence in great musicians like M.S. , Lata etc. When M.S. Sings, her meera bhajan or other Bhajan we feel saraswathi is residing in her , the same with Lata also. hence we are seeing Goddess Saraswathi in them.
