Dear Friend in every part of India we have different spellings for the names.
Like in north Ram becomes Ramu in south. Like wise we Muslims name from Urdu names which are different from traditional Arab names. There is saying of Prophet Mohammad (Hadith) all the mankind is children of Prophet Adam (PBH) AND Adam was created from the dust.
You will find name amin in Christians and Muslims and Jews too. For example some names have changed the original essence of Arabic language Yakub spelled in western world as Jacob, yousuf as Joseph, Harun as Aaron,Sulaiman as Solomon, Esa as Jesus, zakaria as zechariah there are hundreds of examples As I would like to mention that our Indian Christian Bothres who happen to work in Gulf states mostly from Kerala if his name As Joseph if Arabs call them as yousuf than they never object. There are thousands of examples.

Yes their names sound different since they derive their names from rom quraan and from names of prophets their companoinions and rightoeus beleivers .
