Yes it is really a great thing. There are very few people in this category. It is a great feeling actually. It is a pity on the part of who you love and he/she does not love you back.

It happens mostly in the family. Here, you don`t expect anything in return when you love and do any favour. You may call this as sacrifice also.

There is a saying: Love the person who loves you, not the person whom you love. By reciprocating the love you are making it worth. \"In real love you want the other person\'s good. In romantic love you want the other person.\" So though we are not getting love from a person we should be happy about his/her happiness. There is a limitation in one-way love, it will lead us to a dead-end. Love which is not reciprocated will not last long. It will only give us pain, not happiness. But we may not get everything reciprocated, the way we expect. Even family relations sometimes become conditional. When love becomes unconditional, then we will be taken to another level, a divine level where we stop expecting anything from the other, we will be happy and peaceful just by loving the person. But these relations are very unique and rare like mother-child relation. \"Love is the only bow on life\'s dark cloud. It is the Morning and the Evening Star. It shines upon the ...more

Yes. It is true. It is a great thing. If we love someone and expect the same in return then our love is not a true love. It is commercial or business or our intent to do a dealing with the person.

True. I fell in love with Madhubala and Marlyn Monroe, after which I came to know that both had died many years before. Even now I love watching their photos and movies - I know that they will never know of my existence. Even if they had been alive - I would not have expected anything from them !

Yes Gem. It will keep our heart clear. When our heart is clear, then it is easy to attain peace. When we will get peace then we can conquer heaven too. Love is the power of God. And it is really un conditional. We are no one to give conditions to that universal power. Every religion, god and symbol teach us the same thing...but in different way. People can reject it very easily....but knowingly and unknowingly in every family, in every cirucumstances and in every field people are living like this only. Love is God and God is Great. :)
