Why Nobel Peace Prize was never rewarded to Mahatma Gandhi but given to war-mongerors like Obama ..Don't u think Nobel peace prize has lost it's relavance ?

Dear Commonsense,
No, I think a great wisdom is shown by the decision-makers to go for the choice of Obama...it's a pre-emptive action to encourage Obama to work for peace especially when the Jewish lobby in Washington was trying hard to take action against Iran and other gulf-states....Obama so far has been succesful in diverting attention away from war...he is secretly and silently working towards peace. Have you heard a single voice in his presidency for any harsh measure against the nuclear frenzy of Iran, unlike Bush when entire west along with IAEA was issuing threats every week. If you are aware of US politics, you would come to know that there are some forces which work in a specific manner for some specific ideologies to influence government and to decide the course of US foreign policy. These ppl dominate all the financial and political outfits in USA and no government can go against them, not even Obama. So his fairness lies in the fact that how his diplomacy can affect the ...more

Is nobel everything? Will the US itself have an avenue named behind Obama as most of the countries have it in behind the name of Mahatma? Did you see Copenhagen protesters yesterday holding Gandhi placard in hands? Will Gandhi's effigies be burnt anywhere in the world as it happens with Obama?
