The Communist Party of India was founded on December 26, 1925, but started functioning legally from July 1942. The founding members of the party were M.N. Roy, Evelina Trench Roy (Roy's wife), Abani Mukherji, Rosa Fitingof (Abani's wife), Mohammad Ali (Ahmed Hasan), Mohammad Shafiq Siddiqui and M.P.B.T. Acharya
The Communist party of India (Marxist) was formed in 1964 after a split in the Communist Party of India.

Its better if they are forgotten forever , jjust as the Soviets , the Bolsheviks , the Trotskyites . What have these Red Commies done anything of significance for India . After China and Vietnam W. Bengal is the third largest among five communist states left in the world .
