Tabu is the most versatile actress in India. Her awards and appreciations speak for the lady who does not resort to mindless exposure or media-bashing. She either matches up to the actor or overtakes her co-star through the sheer brilliance of her performances. Tabu is the female version of Aamir Khan when it comes to playing the character. The girl looks laidback but when in front of the camera, her persona changes and she slips completely into the soul of the character. Tabu has won National Awards twice for Maachis(1997) and Chandni Bar(2002). She has won numerous awards for movies(both critics and popular ones) like Viraasat, Hu Tu Tu, Astitiva, Chandni Bar, Maqbool and Cheeni Kum. Tabu has proved that she can be quite at ease with funny roles in films like Biwi No.1 , Saajan Chale Sasural, Viraasat and Hera Pheri.
