Q.

You hate him or love him, but one should admire him. Even after 20 years, at the age of 36 years, he plays brilliantly and that is Sachin Tendulkar. What is your opinion on this count ?

Sunil Gavaskar, one of the greatest Indian Test batsmen, regarded as Tendulkar as being the "closest thing to batting perfection."

Shane Warne had mentioned a decade back, "I'll be going to bed having nightmares of Sachin just running down the wicket and belting me back over the head for six. He was unstoppable. I don't think anyone, apart from Don Bradman, is in the sa ...more

I salute Sachin sir....he has most certainly proved he belongs to the "contender" category of cricketer. In all sports, there r 2 categories of players....contenders and journeymen. A journeyman is someone who is compitent enough and technical enough to make it to Indian national squad but don't have that "extra edge".....so we aren't able to remember him specifically instead of "just an Indian player" .....examples r Parthiv Patel, Rohan Gavaskar, etc......

Then u have the other category of players, the contenders. We remember these guys. Nobody has forgotten Patodi or Kapil Dev!

Sachin is definately the contender breed of players! REspects to him 4 his hard work and dedication!
