The Making of Mahatma-In this movie released in 1996, the role of the father of the nation was played by Rajat Kapur. It talks about the times of struggle faced by Gandhi in South Africa. 4. Hey Ram- The character of Mahatma was played by Naseerudin Shah. It tells a fictional story of an assassin who planned to kill Gandhi but later changed his mind. Released in 2000. 5.
