Keyword welfare.
ANd in technical term welfare = GINI coefficient, the lower it is, the less holes the system has and the more ppl friendly it is, and well, income translates into DEVELOPMENT.
But then GDP = cashbah churning.
For a mass AGRARIAN country like India, the correct economic formula is GINI target of .30-.32 with a GDP of 4-5 p.c growth. instead of a economic formula which gives 8-9 pc. GDP but absolutely negates GINI, but well, in INdia it is .38-.40 level.
That is not welfare at all, that is a cash churning economy.
