The Bah' Faith is a monotheistic religion founded by Bah'u'llh in ninenteenthth-century Persia, emphasizing the spiritual unity of all humankind.There are an estimated five to six million Bah's around the world in more than two hundred countries and territories.

The Bah faith began in Iran in 1844 by Mirza Ali Muhammad, who is known as The Bab. He wrote one hundred books and was the forerunner of Bahullh, the Promised One of all ages and religions. As the founder of the faith, Bahullh taught, The earth is but one country, and mankind its citizens.

23 May 1844 Siyyid Ali-Muhammad, a 25-year-old merchant in the city of Shiraz, Persia, announces that He has been sent by God to prepare humanity for a new age and the imminent appearance of another Messenger even greater than Himself. He takes the title of the Bab (meaning Gate in Arabic).
