Why do you want a car in a crowded city like Mumbai or Delhi or elsewhere? You cannot find a parking place. If you have a dent on the body of your car in your absence, you don't a penny from the insurance. You have an inefficient traffic police which wants wants only bribes even if you have not commited any crime or mistake. It may be an object of convenience, if you are travelling long distances. But Indian road conditions are suicidal and people possess less traffic sense particularly trucks and other commercial vehicles. They don't even give a signal of the direction they wish to drive. I will not drive even if somebody gave me crores of rupees. I have driven millions of kilometres outside this country and my observations of the conditions across this country warned me sufficiently to stay away from the steering wheel.
