Chocolate(2005) is the best movie directed by Vivek Agnihotri so far. It was a taut commercial thriller starring the likes of Anil Kapoor, Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi,Emraan Hashmi and Tanushree Dutta among others. However the reason for the movies flop was it was incomprehensible for the layman to understand. Also there were too many plots and sub-plots working in the movie that could confuse the audience. One could even make out a startling similarity between this movie and Kaante(2002). The scripts complexity and far-fetched feeling of the plot led to the failure of the movie. To the credit of the movie, Chocolate had a sleek, international look that made it look like a Hollywood movie to the core.

Audience are interested in eating chocolate and not watching it.
