Abdus Salam is the only Pakistani to win the Nobel prize for Physics.Ironically, he belongs to the Ahmedia community who are declared as Non-Muslims by General Zia-ul-Haq who was the president of Pakistan. Since then Ahmedias are in minority and are persecuted and ill treated in Pakistan.
