WITH THE SOCIETY IS 'NOSE DIVING' DOWN THE THE WORLD OF 'SPEED' & 'MATERIALISM' THE EMOTIONS HAVE ALREADY DIED OFF. THE DEFINITION OF POETRY IS = 'SPONTANEOUS EXPRESSION OF INTIMATE FEELINGS'.
THERE IS NO TIME & SPACE FOR 'FEELINGS & EMOTIONS'.
FOR ROMANCE OR ANYTHING 'FEELINGS & EMOTIONS' ARE MUST.
THESE HAVE 'DRIED UP'. FROM WHERE COULD A POETRY EMERGEOUT?
Again there are many mediums to breakfree your outbursts like VIOLENCE, INTOLERANCE, ETC. no need has remained for poetry.

Yes in a way.... people are moved to forwards ( SMSes and mails) from own creative writings.....so in relative terms it won't dip but in absolute terms it has dipped.

No Rekha, the poetry of romance is something which will always increase and cannot get dipped since human emotions and feelings have vastly increased. It is a different matter that people do not express the same through paper work so called poetry. It is very much living amongst the youth of today. Romance and romanticism is an undying natural phenomena as long as nature lives. I love you therefore don't take it otherwise but the romance between you and me as two human beings. Poetry exists otherwise than in literature as romance of life.

Yes, it has. Poetry is never harsh, and romance is facing harsh realities.
