Is it worthwhile when real estate, in the guise of housing, tourism and IT industries endanger the environment? Your views?

Generally, development does not take place at the expense of environment and nature. If at all it happens in India, it is because of callous nature of authorities, absence of rules and regulations and lack of stricter enforcement of rules and regulations if at all they are there. For comparison, take a look at the highly developed countries in Asia like Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Japan, China, E.U. and North America. Do you see the degradation of nature there even though they are highly urbanized, teeming with millions of inhabitants? What are the reasons? They care for the nature. They do their home work properly. They design their cities very properly and a lot of emphasis and efforts are put for the convenience, practicality and aesthetic aspects. They want their cities to enhance the quality of life. Finally, if you have the will, you can turn even the desert into a miracle and that is what we can see in the Middle East countries like, U.A.E., Qatar, Bahrain, KSA etc. Not ever
