In 1969 Goa was a Portugese colony under Portugese rule. The Portugese football team must have come to their colony Goa. Not India as such, you see!
Goa was liberated and made part of India in 1961.

Hi!
a reputed club by the name Benfica visited Goa in 1960. goa at that time was a portuguese colony
