Villagers come to towns and cities in search of livelihood. Government should open more avenues for them in villages it self. They must build infrastructure for new industries and factories near to their villages. Since villages are mostly agricultural oriented government should provide them more subsidies, loan etc. Give them encouragement, better housing and eduction facilities for children. Build hospitals for them. We will find that cities will be no longer congested because of them.

I would recommend some of the following, but this cannot be stopped althogether and it takes time too. Moreover if the right facilites are available in villages then teh migration would stop on one side and there would be migration in to this village/town once it becomes a desirable place to live and work.
Basically any town/city requires the following basic facilities to survive and thrive economically
- Physical Infrastructure (road, rail, transport systems and connectivity)
- Economic Activities (infrastructure to buy, sell produces and offer and avail of services, also specific markets where these activities can be performed. In addition loans, other financing schemees, subsidies, incubation facilites for small enterprises and small business to start-up and grow and thereby provide employment and contribute to economic well being)
- Communication Facilities: Telephone, Internet, Mobile, etc. More than individual connections there needs to be point of use facilities for using p ...more

1) New Industries and New office setups, New townships should never be allowed in already developed and conjusted cities instead, the State Govt should act and divert all such new proposed development activities to a neighbouring district head quarter and so on....!
2) Every small towns / districts should be allocated with proper funds to develop infrastructure like Roads, communications, schools and marketing places alongwith development of residential colonies in association with NGO's and local administration.
In our Govt. set up where one lives at the cost of others, Our Govt. representatives and officers themselves exploting others. Can we say that the above few proposals are practicable....???

No measures recommended. Villages should be urbanised and job opportunities should be created for the village youth to stop their exodus to cities.

City minus villagers will be termed as undevloped city........you see any city, presenting as a beautiful devloped city is only due to the village people.......if govt will creat all scopes in the village area to earn a good amount then nobody will be heading towards city......particularly the scope of agriculture and it's marketing, 2nd option wil be all small scale cottage industries and it's marketing.......above all, the main cause is lack of education and awareness among the village people......if that would have created by any means then no body will come to city to work like an ASS in lieu of the power of Horse.......i came from a village to a metro city....why?.....only due to lack of sources.......here , what i am doing.....getting a good salary but see the timmings, minimum 12 to 14hrs a day......of course my responsbility force me to do so....so , we have to creat an environment of earning sources, education facility and awareness among the poor innocent people.....

Provide the villagers suitable and remunerative job to live a somewhat happy life. Provide even in villages many of the amenities available in the town. I personally prefer to live in such a place.

Government has to act & give support not only to agriculture by increasing support price to agriculture products but removing middlemen from the same. Encourage agro based industries, give land/tax benefits for other industries to go rural. Announce special packages for these industries & also give some relaxation to them in labor laws etc.
