Sanjay Gandhi National Park, also known as the Borivali National Park, is the only national park situated inside the Mumbai city. It was given the status of a national park in the year 1974 and since then, it has been playing home to some of the most exotic species of animals and birds. Located in the hill ranges around Borivili, the National park is the perfect place, which boasts of a rich of flora and fauna, for the nature lovers coming to Bombay city of India. Sanjay Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary is especially known for its Lion Safari, through which one can view the 'Big Cat' from just six feet away.

You can't say any single park as a pride of Maharashtra, because Maharashtra is having 6 national parks, Each and every national park has its own value. But parks like Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Pench National Park are more famous as compare to others.
