Worshipping cow and snakes is much older than the Geeta. Worship is a type of showing gratitute. In the olden days when the transport system was primitative and people depended on the locally grown crops. Cows & snakes were worshiped so that they would not be killed. Only a farmer will be able to tell the importance of snakes and cows in farming.

As per Gita

Mere roop anant hain, main hi ajanma anadi purush hun, main hi iss sare sanasar ka parmatma hun, puri duniya me jo kuchh bhi tum sabse achcha hain vo mera hi ek ansh hain..mere hi ye sare swaroop hain..
jaise jalacharo main magar main hun, shastradhario main ram main hun, vedo main samved main hun, pandavo main arjun main hun, rudron main shankar main hun....etc...
tum meri jis swaroop me pooja karoge main us roop se tumhara svikar karunga..
sache man se tum muze jo bhi fal, ful, dudh etc. arpan karoge uska me khushi se svikar karunga..

TUM baki sab kuchh chhod ke sirf mari sharan me aao....main tumhe har PAAP har dukh se mukti duna...

AAMin...!!

I have answers to your questions and I am satisfied with them. But I see no point in explaining to people who ask such question because they want to find faults in Hinduism rather than having any genuine interest to understand it. Please dont waste your time on this but utilise it with those people of your own religion who are giving a different meaning to it and creating problems
