India is no longer a poor country if you look at the consumerism here. Otherwise how could Range Rover cars costing nearly Rs One crore be sold here. Please comment?

There are many Indias. You are talking about the India in which a small minority of people live. The are millions of families who do not earn even three thousand rupees a month

Poor, rich are not absolute terms. they are only comparitive. yes i do agree with you india is not as poor as it was used to be. gradually cycles are disappearing and giving place to mother cycles. villages have been electrified, television and mobiles phones reached
remotest villages. cinema heros are taking more than 5 crores a film, meaning the entertainment business is booming. people purchase tons of gold which is totally imported. india is no longer a poor country.

Despite all this India is still a poor country. The gap between rich and poor seems to be widening.

Who were the buyers!!!!!Madhu Koda can buy even many and that Madhu Koda is not the one solely respresenting India. More than 60% of the population is under poverty line. Our Per Capita Income is lesser than that of our tiny neighbour Sri Lanka and our life expectancy too!!!!.We are poor and will remain the same, unless you produce like rabbits.
