The worlds largest Buddhist temple is located at Borobudur. The area of the temple is 60, 000 sq mts. And the height is 34.5 mts. Borobudur is located on the Indonesian island of Java. It was built between 750 and 850 AD.

The largest Buddhist temple in the world is borobudur, near yogyakarta, java, Indonesia. It was built between AD 750 and 842.The temple covers 60,000 sq metres and contains 56,624 cu.metres of stone.
