I dont have much idea of it but it was built and sold by Mahindra in India.

Mahindra entered into collaboration with Willys to import and assemble jeep in Indian market. it was built in Mazagaon, Mumbai. Mahindra derived commander from CJ models.

WIllys\' Jeep is now owned by Chyrsler and the models that were available in India like CJ series were discontinued to give way to Jeep Wrangler.

Mahindra was in talks with Chrysler in acquisition of their brand Jeep start of this year, no idea what happened after that!

Apart from the mainstream of - by today\'s standards - relatively ...more
