Sahara
The Sahara deserts of Nort Africa span an area of 8.4 million sq. kms. Did you know that deserts cover about 20% of Earth's land surface, and most of them are not coverd with sand. Sand accounts for only 15% of the Earth's desert regions - the rest is covered with bare rocks, pebbles and gravel.
