Intereseting to see a light hearted question from you sir. kashmir will be best during march. neither biting cold nor hot. it will be pleasant and when you visit gulmarg and pahalgam , teh slopes will still be covered with meting snow and you can have a fun time with snow balls. dec,/jan. are very cold , with temp. reaching out to minus 7 degrees. carry your warm clothing , have a nice time. enjoy

I could not understand how is March the ideal time to visit Kashmir. One of the fellow has recommended to visit kashmir in March. It is rainy season and people have to wear sweaters (sometimes jackets too). Extra luggage for those visitors who come from hot regions like south india. March is no way an ideal time to visit Kashmir. Better to visit during the month of May-June or September-October. It neither too hot nor too cold. For those who wish to enjoy the snowfall & can tolerate the cold then they can visit in January-February.
