For protein intake, eat fish, lean meat, tofu, egg whites, pulses and poultry.

Animal proteins like chicken, beef, egg and meat are rich sources and plant proteins from beans like soya, pulses, nuts, whole and germinated legumes are good sources. In the west a product called quorn is available its rich in protein and is made from mycoprotein which is a fungi that is low in fat. Milk, cheese, panneer are also good sources of protein.
