You need to buy a book on the subject which illustrates in close up all the different stitches and how they are done, i.e in which direction the needle goes etc. Then buy some embroidery needles, embroidery threads and loose woven cloth on which to practice.

Get tuition from an embroider. It\'s your choice what type of embroidery you want to do. Hand work, Machine Work, Zardozi, Tilla, Sitara, Computerized embroidery etc. etc.
